Updates, Core Class, Basketball

Welcome back everyone,

Today was our second day at the Hod Ha Sharon campus in Israel, and once again was memory filled and full of fun things. The day started out usual with the "waker-upper" for the day walking around and waking up everyone, today was Noah from Seattle; but instead of just playing music and doing it the normal way he decided that I was really hungry and shoved a banana in my mouth in order to get me out of bed. I laughed because it was unexpected, but I have to admit it was a pretty good banana. Then we went to breakfast, and I had salad and fruit, also very good. Once breakfast was over we walked to our CORE Israel class, the one thats four hours long. We started the class by taking the quiz, it was easy, and then began to go in depth on the homework. I was paying attention and Mordechai was very interesting, for the first two hours. He spoke about the origins of Judaism and a lot about the stories of the creation of the world, and the flood. After our first break I began to zone out, and didn't understand the second half of the class, other then the fact that we have to write an essay over the weekend about comparing the Tanakh (Ta-Na-(Chhhh-jewish noise from bottom of throat)) to the Torah. Which will take a long time, but on top of that he also told us that we are having a 40 point quiz on sunday on the stuff that we learned, the second half of class.......Once the class was over we went to lunch, which was good again. When lunch was over all the boys went to go play basketball, and I was surprisingly decent. My team lost the first game and won the second, but I made most of the baskets and they made me captain for the second game because I guess I was doing really well. I was just a s surprised as everyone else on how well I was doing.

And now I am sitting in the dorm writing the blog and trying to write the essay, while everyone is getting ready for shabbat. Since it will be Shabbat I might not post tomorrow, Im not sure how much time we'll have for free time, so the post is iffy.

Shalom.
