Hello Peoples,
After I posted yesterday we had services in the main meeting room on the campus. Our "rabbi" was the CORE teacher who is very good at singing and likes to do services on Friday. It was a very relaxed service that only lasted around 15 minutes, very different from services at camp; which can be long as two hours long. Then as a group we went to dinner, and I volunteered to say the Kaddish. After I was done everyone thought I speak hebrew and/ or was Israeli, but I told everyone that I just sing the prayer every friday, thank you mom and dad. To add on to that thought, I am the only person on the trip who keeps kosher, even my counselors; everyone thinks it is fascinating, but it is just everyday life for me. When we got back to the dorm everyone started playing games and just chilling, and thats when we began to play caps. It is a very fun and fast-paced card game played with a partner, and in order to win you need to have all of one card, and your partner has to know when you have all of the same card by some kind of sign. It is intense. This girl named Emily and I were very very very good at this game, we made a 5 game comeback the first game, but the second game we lost; I was tired. After games ended around 1:00 a.m I went to bed, and had a very nice sleep. We then woke up at 10:00 a.m today, but still felt like 7 because of the jet lag, and the fact that we all went to sleep at 2. After lunch the boys went to go and play basketball, and my true colors were shown. I was not that good, and no one was calling me Kevin Love anymore. I am going to have to prove myself again, but it is going to be a challenge. Now we are just hanging around, and all of us are working on our essays about the flood and the creation of the world. It is not fun.
See ya later,
Max Sandler
