Daringly Fantastically Cool

Todays language= Afrikaan

Hallo vriende (hello friends),

Welcome back everyone, to recap the last couple of days we went to Jerusalem, Dead Sea, and climbed Masada. The first day of the Tiyul we traveled to the Western Wall, and walked around the old city for a while.  The purchases include Efe buying three bracelets for his girly-friends and me buying a turbin with a real deal scarf-thingy; he even put it on me and thought that I was an Arab. It was very interesting, and fun. After the Jerusalem experience we went to a high mountain in the desert and were able to meditate in silence and look at the sunset across the Judean Desert. It was very spiritual and eye-opening to me. I felt more connected to Judaism in the silence of the desert then I was at the Western Wall. I spoke to the sky, telling it my goals and the future that I want for myself. I also pondered my past, and talked to my Meema(Grandma), I felt like she was sitting next to me. I cryed, like a true man. I loved her and it was nice to kinda connect with her in different and unique way. We then went to our hostel and saw our camp counselors, Johnny Cantar and Amy Sandler, what are the odds. I went to bed around 7:00 in order to wake up early to climb Masada in the morning. The next thing we did was climb Masad in the morning at around 4:00, we walked up the mountain and saw the sunset, I really liked the hike, but did not like what followed after the hike. After the hike we then had class for about 3 hours. It was not the best time in my life. Then we descended down the mountain at a "brisk" pace. I got the full dead sea experience, but it was much different from my first time. The smell of the sulfur water near the mud almost made me vomit numerous times. The tram that was supposed to take us down to the ocean was not there so we decided to run, in a bathing suit, I chafed like I have never chafed before in my life. Also I did not remember that the bottom the Dead Sea was like a large sheet of bedrock on the floor that spiked up and cut into your skin. I had to be dragged in and out of the sea by all of my friends. I have so many holes in my feet from the trek on the sea. Another thing to add to the experience was that it was really windy and cold, but I did not bring a towel. I was incredibly cold and shivering throughout the whole time we were walking back. Now we are back at the campus after a 2 hour ride from the Dead Sea, and I have to start doing homework and studying for our big quiz tomorrow.

Totsiens almal (goodbye everyone)

P.s As you noticed from the top I am trying to use different languages for all of my opening and concluding statements. Just for fun, thats all.
