Jersualem & Mt. Gilboa & Sachne Water Pool & Hezekiah's Tunnel.

Welcome back everyone,

Sorry for the late delay on the post, we went to Jerusalem and stayed in a youth hostel so I couldn't post since I did not have my computer; and I had no idea that hostels had wifi available.

Mt. Gilboa w/ the group
Nature Men.
Now let me tell you about my last couple days. It has been both rainy and cold here, but the best part of the last couple days was making our trek to the old city of Jerusalem. On the first day that we traveled we went to the Mountain of Gilboa. It was a great hike down the mountain face on the steepest part, it was also wet and very rainy so it made it very slippery. I only managed to fall on my but one time because I was getting a bit over-ambitious towards the end of the hike and started running down the mountain, then my feet flew out from under me and in a matter of seconds I was lying flat on the ground looking at the sky. Also another fun part of the hike was me and my friend mosey making a "Nature Man" video, a show about the nature and all the cool things about Israel. I'll try to upload a sneak peak of the series, and maybe a picture, but we are hoping to make the series into a full movie by the end of the trip. After the Gilboa hike, we went to this spectacular place called Sachne Water Pool. It is in the top 100 places in the whole entire world.

My boy Isaac.
The coolest part of the place is that in the mother nature-made pool is the therapeutic fish in the water. The fish are the ones that people pay a lot of money to get the fish to eat off their dead skin. It was one of the best experiences of my life, and I recommend everyone who goes to Israel has to go to the water place. After we went to Mamilla mall, and my friend Isaac and I remensised about our past and about our interpretations of each other. It was truly eye-opening, and I am much closer to Isaac than I was before. He is a great guy. The next morning we went to Hezekiah's water tunnel from the City of David story, we had class before we left but it was actually interesting. Mordechai has really improved in his teaching and curriculum choosing, we are becoming very good friends, I was totally wrong in saying that the class is boring. We also did a nature-man in the tunnel, It was a very good one, but it was freezing. It has rained for the past three days pretty consistently, and as we speak it is pouring. It is not Minnesota cold but I can understand why people don't like being wet when it is windy outside. I still have to do some homework and read a couple things, so I'm going to go before I procrastinate even more.

Bye, Max Sandler

  2. Thanks for sharing Max. We were going through sandlerstrekacrossisrael - withdrawal syndrome. Lia thought the fish eating your skin part was funny (and gross)
